Workshops will help business owners of all sizes

Kathyrn tells us why workshops can help small business owners

Between all of us here at Guidon Group, there is a wealth of decades of experience in all areas of accountancy and we’re always happy to pass on our expertise to our clients.

While we are unlike many accountants in that we meet our clients regularly not just at year end, we might not always have the chance to share everything we know. We always encourage our clients to pick up the phone if they ever have a query.

We are aware, however, that sometimes the timing just isn’t right, or something crops up and the issue goes out of our minds because we’re so busy.

So that is why we want to introduce workshops. Best of all, you don’t need Guidon Group to be your Accountant because we see the value in sharing our experience with all small and medium sized businesses.

Fears over finance

One of the main fears and dislikes that most people in business have is doing the bookkeeping and accounts! They don’t understand it, don’t know how to do it, don’t enjoy doing it and are worried that they’ll do it wrong, which could lead to hefty fines. Plus, there’s now the added pressure of Making Tax Digital which will affect all businesses, including self-employed people, over the next few years.

Our first workshop called ‘Changing the Fear of Finance into Fun’ will cover these topics and we will share simple tips that you can use so that it won’t be as daunting in future. We will ensure that you know what Making Tax Digital is, who it will affect and when and how you can easily be ready for it.

It is aimed at anyone in business at any stage of their business. We want those who attend to leave with a new positive way of thinking about their accounts, so instead of fearing it they embrace it! This will then help them make better and more confident decisions about their business.

Where to find our first workshops

This workshop will take place at two venues in the North East, both from 10am:
Evan’s Bistro in Whitley Bay on Tuesday 12th February and Gloucester House in Stockton on Tuesday 19th February.
There is a small fee of £20 but you will be provided with refreshments during the morning workshop.
Please visit our Facebook page to book your place.
Places are limited to a maximum of 10 people per session so book early so that you don’t miss out!

We’re planning a number of other workshops throughout the year and would love to know what you would like to learn more about or need help with. Drop us an e-mail, Facebook message or Linked In message with the topic you want covering.
